    Hi Cherrie:

Thanks for these social media marketing tips. I agree with you, the message should be the same across the board. Someone should be able to recognize you by the message and the brand each time they visit your blog, facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. The message has to be consistent and people should be able to tell who you are and what you do the minute they land on any one of you sites. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve seen people whose profiles say one thing about them and another thing on the other networks. Like a marketer or consultant on one profile and then one who sells a product on their other profiles. People get confused and sometimes end up not getting services or buying from them because of such inconsistencies. One thing we need to understand is that people now almost always go to google to learn something about someone and our job is to make sure that what we really do, and what google says through our online profiles, is loud, clear, and accurate.

It’s very important to look and think of the bigger picture. A safe way of achieving succes is by having good strategies and following schedules. One big problem nowadays is the time, we don’t have time to do everything we want and often we do things in a hurry and we tend to mess up everything because the lack of time.

I know some businesses who use traditional way of marketing themselves, but also add their online presence. Businesses need some online presence now that most people are already using internet in their business search that can fulfill their need of a particular product or service.

I have been spreading my message across many different social media avenues. Most of it is cohesive but I have written over 200 articles on on a wide variety of topics, mostly about relationships and love, but also about healing, diet, exercise, illness, success, and more. Although my main focus is about love, I also have a HealthyBabyBoomersNetwork blog and blogtalkradio show. As my complete relationship system is almost ready to be launched, I am honing my message more carefully in all my online locations.

Thanks for sharing this valuable post.

Can marketing still be without social media? I realize some still ignore it, but they’re just the late ones that haven’t realized yet they’ll be dead by the morning in this sea of competition.
    Btw, great tips.

The social media is definitely important to international business, but maybe some people do not have enough patience to do it. Of course, it really cost much time and energy, also needs more skill on it.

    Hello Cherrie

The benefits of social media marketing are enormous. Here are some of the benefits listed in a recent report “The Social Media Revolution 2011”; reduced overall marketing expenses, created exposure for business and helped close business. Your suggestion of Traditional forms of marketing as an excellent way of driving traffic to your social media site makes a lot of sense. In my area I see many business using this way of driving people to their social media site.

Not to mention that if you dilute the message you’ll just have more work on your hands, and ruin the entire targeting in the process.
A coherent message these days is something that can make a lot of difference.

Good tips! It’s important to promote yourself on many channels and take into consideration finding new ones and giving up those who don’t bring you traffic.
