Delicious Coconut Flour and Cacao Brownies

    Hi Cherrie,
    thanks for the great recipe.
    I love coconut brownies and started making them when I wanted to make it easier to ‘get more ‘ coconut oil into my system.

    So, you find that 1/2 cup of butter can be replaced by 1/3 cup of coconut oil?
    Have you tried coconut sugar?

      Yorinda, my husband is not fond of too much coconut taste so I try to limit the coconut oil, hence the 1/3 cup, but I made used 5 eggs instead of 4 eggs coz we prefer it with more moist. And then I also added 1 banana which enhanced the flavor. I haven’t tried coconut sugar yet. Is that healthier than honey? I have to try it!

    Hi Cherrie,

    I am a brownie lover; however, I have not thought about them in a very long time. Now isn’t that weird? Oh I know–I used to purchase them almost daily when I worked in San Francisco where we were surrounded with outstanding bakeries (and restaurants). Now that I work from my home, I don’t have those temptations.

    I am fasting right now but I will book mark this page for future reference. Thanks for sharing it!

      Rachel, like you, I work from home, away from tempting bakeries and restaurants so I just make treats for myself and family instead of buying them. That way I know what goes in there which is not only healthier but less toxic (since I use mostly organic ingredients) stuff.

    Hi, Cherrie! These sound really yummy. If I could use coconut sugar and something else instead of eggs (vegan substitutes), I’d give them a try! I like the coconut oil, raw cacao and coconut flour options.

    Cherrie, that looks delicious and simple to make too! I love brownies and these would go great warm with maybe an exotic ice cream flavour to go with the coconut. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them 😉

    I love this Cherrie, it looks simple and very tasty. I’ve bookmarked the page and I’ll be making these with my daughters. We don’t have a lot of brownies in the UK but they seem them in US films, so it will be fun for us 🙂

    wow, as soon as I seen the image of the brownies my mouth start to water hahah :-0

    But soon it stopped since I noticed the ingredients..

    I adopted a 100% vegan diet many years ago and since then, no more brownies, not the one with eggs, honey and butter 🙂

    My lady friend sometime she makes some great one.. I am not sure what she uses but they are delicious… and since I do not like to add much sweets in my diet, well, I only limit eating them once in a while..

    I thank you for sharing this simple recipe, and hope you soon find one that is 100% vegan so I can make it and and eat it too 🙂
